MFA, Moscow Art Theater School/ART at Harvard University; BA, English and Theatre, University of Minnesota; Studied acting with Robert Woodruff, Scott Zigler, Marcus Stern, Janos Szasz, Yuri Yeremin and Roman Kozak; movement with Andrei Droznin, Meg Egington, Andrey Schupkin, Robert Walsh and SITI Co.; voice with Nancy Houfek, Jeff Morrison and Paul Backer.

Professional acting work includes multiple national tours with Montana Repertory Theatre, regional theatre with American Repertory Theatre, North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, Sierra Repertory Theatre, Village Theatre, Book It Repertory Theatre and a season a half with Children's Theatre Company. In New York, Heather has worked on several productions with East River Commedia and Theatre Trouve, Movement direction / period work / choreography includes productions at The Academy (Cloud Nine, Learned Ladies, The Great Magoo, Quilters, etc.) as well as Montclair State University (Penance: Ghost of Don Juan, Stage Door, Grapes of Wrath, 1001, Arcadia) where she is also on adjunct faculty as a movement instructor. Directing credits include La Chunga, a site specific production at the Nuyorican Café, and numerous productions at The Academy (Water Children, Trojan Women, Ring Round the Moon, Emma). Playwriting credits include Living With Betty and Tokyo Time (co-written with Mercedes Murphy).
