Theresa Hayes is proud to be a master instructor, and the current Director of Instruction and Managing Director at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Teaching at The Academy since 1992 has given Ms. Hayes the opportunity to master an “I CAN” method of instruction which actors (and singers) can utilize for rapid technical improvement. Her credits include: National Tours – The Tap Dance Kid opp. Hinton Battle, Dreamgirls – Deena, European – U.S. Tours – Sophisticated Ladies opp. Harold Nicholas (NAACP Best Actress Award), Regional: West Coast Premiere Lucky Stiff – Dominique Du Monaco, Man of La Mancha – Aldonza opp. Robert Goulet, Bye Bye Birdie – Rosie, A Chorus Line – Cassie, Sweet Charity – Helene, West Side Story – Anita, Boys From Syracuse – The Courtesan, Get Happy – Cast Member and U/S Donna McKechnie. Acting Workshop with Theresa Hayes
4:30PM to 5:30PM
Prospective students attending the Info Night are invited to come early to take part in a free acting workshop taught by Academy master instructor Theresa Hayes.
Experience training from The Academy’s Director of Instruction
Learn to explore a relaxed, free, truthful use of self in imaginary circumstances
Learn exercises for spontaneity, concentration and acting on your natural impulses
Light refreshments will be provided
