The American Academy of Dramatic Arts is coming
to St. Louis
Join us Saturday, January 20, 2018 for a free Professional Acting Workshop and Academy Info Night Event,
and experience what it's like to be a student at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Ms. Beck has been an Academy faculty member for 20 years, with the last eight as a core member. Additionally she serves as the campus events coordinator, as well as a director of student examination plays and coach for student productions.
Externally, Brenda works as a professional voice, speech and dialect coach for film, television and theatre, having coached more than 100 theatrical productions, including the world premiere of the musical Great Expectations, Bent and Please Do Not Touch the Indians. She has coached for dialect in films such as Chasing Indigo and If, and for television, most recently for the new Orbit Gum campaign. She also coaches and directs actors and singers in voice, speech, dialects, Shakespeare, and text/scene analysis. As a performer she has appeared in film, television, and predominantly theatre, touring around the world, including for the USO/DOD. She was a founding member of Plays On Words Theatre Company, an award-winning Los Angeles-based company.
Degrees and Studies: MFA, Acting, University of Southern California; BA (with honors), University of Nevada; Studied directing with Tad Danielewski, among others, and voice/speech with Patsy Rodenburg, Catherine Fitzmaurice, Kristin Linklater and Rocco Dal Vera

Acting Workshop with Brenda B. Beck
4:30PM to 5:30PM
Prospective students attending the Info Night are invited to come early to take part in a free acting workshop taught by Academy Master Instructor, Brenda B. Beck.
Experience training from one of The Academy's master instructors
Learn to explore a relaxed, free, truthful use of self in imaginary circumstances
Learn exercises for spontaneity, concentration and acting on your natural impulses
Light refreshments will be provided
Space is limited, please register early
